The full list of candidates for the roles of leader and deputy leader of the Green Party of England and Wales have been released.

For leader, the candidates are: Caroline Lucas and Jonathon Bartley (jobshare), Simon Cross, Clive Lord, David Malone, Martie Warin and David Williams.

For deputy leader, the candidates are: Shahrar Ali, Katharina Boettge, Alan Borgars, Andrew Cooper, Storm Poorun, Daniella Radice and Amelia Womack.

If Caroline Lucas and Jonathon Bartley are elected, there will only be one deputy leader, and they will be allowed to be of any gender.

If any of the single candidates for leader are successful, the two deputy leaders will be of different genders.

Nominations are now closed and the campaign period will last until 24 July after which a one month balloting period will begin with the results announced at the Autumn Conference in Birmingham on 2 September.

Over the coming months, Bright Green will be reporting from hustings and interviewing and profiling as many candidates as possible so like us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date.
