Greens Organise elects first steering committee
Greens Organise – a left wing faction within the Green Party of England and Wales – has elected its first steering committee.
There are 12 places on the committee and there were 13 candidates in the running for them.
The candidates elected – and therefore forming the new committee are as follows:
- Emily Gulliksen
- Faaiz Hasan
- Steve Jackson
- Ruth Kettle-Frisby
- Beth Lewis
- Robert Magowan
- Mehmood Naqshbandi
- James O’Nions
- Ed Poole
- Dagan Smith
- Jennie Smith
- Hau-Yu Tam
The founding statement of Greens Organise says that the group believes “in the power of a clear, bold message that speaks directly to the public’s demand for real change, mobilises a diverse working class, and secures a broad mandate for an internationalist, anti-capitalist, and ecologically transformative agenda.”
