A poll has shown that Green voters were more likely than those of any other major party to vote to remain in the EU.

Of the respondents who voted in Green in 2015, 75% voted for remain and just 25% voted to leave the EU.

The next most pro-EU voters were those of the Lib Dems (70-30) followed by the Scottish National Party (64-36), Labour (63-37) the Tories (42-58) and Ukip (4-96).

This means that Green voters made up roughly 7% of the total Remain vote and just 2% of the total Leave vote.

The poll, conducted by Michael Ashcroft, surveyed 12,369 people on the day of the referendum.
