EXCLUSIVE: Labour’s new ad
Yesterday’s debate’s biggest gaffe was undoubtedly David Cameron’s hamfisted ‘Axis of Evil’ speech, citing China (along with Iran) as the reason we need nuclear missiles.
“Are we really happy to say that we’d give up our independent nuclear deterrent when we don’t know what is going to happen with Iran, we can’t be certain of the future in China?”, whined our prospective leader, demonstrating a naiveté and stupidity that goes beyond making him a poor candidate for Prime Minister and actually puts our national interest and security at risk.
By his withdrawal from mainstream European conservatism to side with homophobes and SS-fantasists, his completely clueless Commando-magazine view of the scale of our problems in Afghanistan, and now this unspeakably irresponsible posturing, David Cameron has demonstrated that he would do for the UK’s relations with the world what Boris Johnson has done for London’s relations with Liverpool.
Vote to defeat the Tories on May 6th. The stakes are too high for you to stay home.
I obviously can’t speak for any other Greens or BG authors, but I reckon I’d hold my nose and vote Labour.
My constituency is a straight fight between a nationally imperfect (i.e. loyal) yet locally hard-working incumbent Labour MP and a class A Tory scumbag. In fact the Tories have been targeting the seat for a while. The amount of Lib Dem and Green votes, far too low for either to win, at the last election could bridge the gap between current levels of support of the Labour and Tory candidates. for once, my vote might make a difference. And I want a hung parliament, which as many non-Tory MPs as possible. I’m assuming you’re not in BPav, NorSouth or LewDept. So how would you vote?
Do you mind me asking which constituency it is?
Gary, the Greens can’t win where I live – and that’s the case for most of the 120 or so seats the Tories need to win in order to form a government. Should I vote for my Labour MP, who is loyal but occasionally critical to the government, to keep the Tories out? It’s a bellweather, the Tories can’t form a majority without winning my seat.
