MRP poll suggests Greens will win 7 seats at next general election
A new MRP poll has indicated that the Greens could be on track for yet more success at the next general election. The poll suggests the Greens would win 7 seats were an election held now.
The full results of the poll also indicate that Reform could emerge as the largest party at the next election.
According to the poll, if a general election were held now, it would produce the following results (outside of the north of Ireland):
-
- Reform – 271 seats (+266)
- Labour – 178 seats (+233)
- Lib Dem – 81 seats (+9)
- Tory – 46 seats (-75)
- SNP – 38 seats (+29)
- Green – 7 seats (+3)
- Plaid Cymru – 7 seats (+3)
- Others – 3 seats (-2)
This would be a record-breaking result for the Green Party.
The poll indicates that the Greens would hold onto all four of their existing parliamentary seats. According to the poll, the Greens would also gain Bristol East, Bristol South and Huddersfield from Labour.

It’s very worrying that Reform comes top of the poll. The Tories are limping along.
7 Green MPs would be great. I’d love it to be even more thought
It might be momentous in terms of what we’ve done before, but it’s nowhere near what we should be working towards in the next GE. We’re at a turning point, and the sooner Green sympathisers understand the nature of the times we are in, and #backZack, we should be going for a much more ambitious target. Taking Labour after failed Labour seat, and providing Reform with a real left of centre challenge that will break the 2 Party system for ever!
