Carla Denyer

Green Party of England and Wales co-leader Carla Denyer will be on tonight’s episode of BBC Question Time. Denyer will appear on the show alongside shadow health secretary Wes Streeting, former Archbishop of York John Sentamu and Bloomberg columnist Merryn Somerset Webb. A government minister is yet to be confirmed for the show.

Tonight will be the first time Denyer has appeared on the show. That’s despite her first being elected as co-leader of the Green Party in October 2021. The last time a Green Party figure appeared on Question Time was November 2022, when Green MP Caroline Lucas was a guest.

Who is Carla Denyer?

Alongside being co-leader of the Green Party, Denyer is also the party’s parliamentary candidate in the Bristol West constituency. Bristol West is among the Greens’ top target seats for the next election. In the last election, the Greens came second in the seat with 24.9% of the vote.

Denyer is also a councillor in Bristol, where the Greens are now the largest single party on the council.
